My gift from God

"My camera became my voice"

My family is everything…they are my bIGGEST inspiration. I feel Incredibly blessed to have a husband who loves me for me and two amazing kids who truly make me a better person.

At the age of 12 years old, I developed my voice condition called Spasmodic Dysphonia. Ever since, photography has become an outlet for expressing myself. Some people call my voice a disability..I call it a gift from God. Because of my voice, I have learned to see the world in a different perspective. Allowing myself to observe more, be more still, notice the beauty in the little things I see every day. I am most happy when I am simply observing the love between people...whether it is the love between a newly engaged couple, the love between a mother and her first baby, or the love between a grandmother and her grand-daughter.

I cannot express enough how blessed I feel to be able to capture those moments. Photographing the "in between" moments....the moment when a couple is laughing and giggling, when she whispers in his ear a silly joke, or the moments when a mother is touching her newborns fingers for the very first time.
